Double Oak

On August 16th, Double Oak’s P&Z Commission unanimously recommended that the Town Council approve our permit request for drilling at the Meece location.

We have since been working with the Council to resolve any questions in advance of their vote and to document the language approved by P&Z.

This has been a productive dialogue, and we have every confidence that an affirmative decision was forthcoming.

However, a couple of challenges have arisen that forced us to reevaluate our plans and make the difficult decision of withdrawing our application on Sept. 2.

These challenges involve the geologic formation near Double Oak and the current commodity price environment. Please see our letter to leaseholders below for a full and complete explanation:
